TELETOON Canada brings kids, youth and adults the best in animated entertainment with four nationwide specialty television channels, TELETOON English and French, and TELETOON Retro English and French. Founded in 1997, TELETOON Canada inc. is owned by Astral Media (50%) and Corus Entertainment (50%).

Since its launch, TELETOON has become the premiere animation destination for kids, teens, young adults and families. Through its English and French networks, TELETOON reaches 7.7 million Canadian homes and the digital specialty TELETOON Retro is in over 6.5 million homes. All four channels generate revenue from advertising and promotion sales along with subscriber fees. TELETOON properties are also available online, on VOD, on iTunes and on mobile TV.

  • We’re French and English: We offer our French language signal everywhere in Canada in Eastern Time, plus two English language feeds - one in Eastern time and one in Pacific.
  • We’re over 10 years old!: Canadians tuned in first to the new specialty English language service on October 17, 1997, while the French language service was already available since September 8, 1997. And they have kept watching!
  • We’re Canadian: TELETOON is proud of its role as the largest supporter of the Canadian animation industry. We invest 47% of our gross revenue to the acquisition or development of animated series from Canadian producers while maintaining Canadian content in 60% of both our English and French network schedule.
  • We’re available online: Our award-winning Web site at teletoon.com is a huge hit with kids across the country. The website offers an immersive website where kids can meet their favourite cartoon characters and access TV programming information. Available in English and French, teletoon.com receives over 1.8 million visitors per month. The web site offers surfers over 30 free games and the opportunity to visit the TELETOON World.
  • We’re flexible: We offer the opportunity to execute straight brand-sell campaigns, program and segment sponsorships, closed-captioning sponsorships, custom made sales promotions, web promotions and event sponsorships. After 4pm, during weekdays and weekends, we offer 12 minutes of advertising per hour; 8 minutes of airtime is available weekends between 7am and 4:30pm. Our pre-school block is commercial free.We’re everywhere: TELETOON is available to over 85% of all Canadian households receiving subscription television services via Cable, DTH and Wireless.
